On Monday night we went to Derek's parents house. Derek's sister Angie was in town so we went down to say hi. Angie was holding Karter and said something about his tooth. I asked her what the heck she was talking about because Karter doesn't have any teeth yet. To make a long story short, Karter got his first tooth and I didn't even know it!! Somebody else had to find it for me because I'm so clueless. The reason why I had no idea was because he has been SO happy. He has had a yucky nose and been chewing on things a little bit but he is such a happy baby. Kannon didn't get his teeth till he was 8 months old and he was REALLY sick, so I was just shocked that Karter got his at 5 months. (I'm just trying to justify why I'm a bad mom!) Anyway, he's just happy and fat and we love him!! :)
Today is my Birthday and I was spoiled!! I have the sweetest husband. He went in with his parents and my parents on this picture of Christ that I have been wanting. I love this picture because all of the pictures of Christ have a little girl it seems like, but finally they made one with a little boy just for me! :)
Derek also got me this vinyl lettering to go on the wall, and these cute boxes. I LOVE them all.
And I need to post a few more pics just for my journaling. This is Derek putting his new grill together that he got for Father's Day.
And finally, Angie's kids have been in town all week so Kannon has had a chance to play with his cousins. We took them down to my mom and dad's house and let them ride the ponies and play around on the farm.
I love the picture that Derek got you. I don't recall ever seeing it, but it sure is beautiful. Happy Birthday, I know I already told you, but it doesn't hurt to say it again. I'm glad we were able to come over and use the grill with you guys. We sure did have a good time.

ReplyDeleteand you are not a bad mother that is great that he got his first tooth and what a funny story to tell him about and what a great little boy for being so happy while it came in.
You got some great things for your birthday love them all and wht a nice grill we need to come over and have a COOK OUT!!

ReplyDeleteSophie is getting like 10 teeth all at the same time, but she's actually been pretty good too. Okay not 10, but seriously like 5, we noticed a new one today that is further along than the ones we noticed coming in recently. Anyway, glad carter is super happy!
